This system is heading toward unfavorable upper-level winds and tropical cyclone formation is becoming less likely. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent. A weak low pressure system is located several hundred miles south-southwest of the Gulf of Tehuantepec. This system remains disorganized, and environmental conditions are expected to be only marginally conducive for a tropical depression form by Tuesday or Wednesday. After that time, upper-level winds are forecast to become unfavorable for development. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...40 percent. A weak low pressure system is located several hundred miles south-southwest of the Gulf of Tehuantepec. Little development of the system is expected during the next day or two.
