Job description For our customer, ESAESTEC, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Radio Navigation Engineer to work at ESAs European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service EGNOS Project Office, Toulouse, France. Responsibilities You will be assigned to ESAs EGNOS Project Office within the Directorate of the Galileo Programme and Navigationrelated Activities. The work covers the following technical support in the area of propagation and associated algorithms design, in particular for ionosphere effects on GNSS signals and associated SatelliteBased Augmentation System SBAS processing. Specific tasks will include Task 1 Engineering support to the coordination and critical assessment of all propagation and associated design related issues within EGNOS Project Office including algorithm assessment and recommendations Task 2 Engineering Support to the animation of an international technical subgroup e.g. contributing to IWG Technical Subgroup related to GNSS and Ionospheric modelling and processing e.g. for iono gradients and scintillations Task 3 Participation and contribution to multimodal e.g. Aviation, Maritime GNSS standardisation groups for what concerns propagation effects modelling and processing e.g. scintillation, multipath Task 4 Engineering Support to the management of several RD projects related to GNSS related propagation e.g. MONITOR, Multipath Studies, Interference mitigation Task 5 Engineering Support to the preparation and validation of ionospheric model data and delivery to EGNOS V2V3Evolutions Contractors Task 6 Engineering Support to the coordination with respect to propagation related subjects modelling of the navigation propagation signals using stateof theart software tools and databases modelling of ionospheric propagation conditions and their effects on SBAS satellite navigation missions Task 7 Support the definition of campaigns to serve RD and other EGNOS project needs e.g. for scintillation monitoring. Task 8 Support in the planning and execution of RD activities as well as in managing the necessary software tools and databases related to IONO modelling and processing. Task 9 Engineering support to several projects, the service provider will attend project reviews for EGNOS e.g. V2V3 system and subsystem reviews at algorithm level This is a full time position located at Toulouse, France. The requested start of work is March 2018. Qualifications Competencies The successful candidate will have Masters degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, physics or Computer science with proven knowledge and experience in the fields of Algorithms, Navigation and related data. A minimum of 4 years relevant working experience in the space sector and in particular the satellite navigation field. Knowledge and experience in EGNOS standards e.g. MOPSSARPS Knowledge and experience in EGNOS integrity continuity justification files. Knowledge and experience in EGNOS system algorithmic performance related design justification in particular concerning propagation effects algorithmic solutions in SBAS Knowledge and experience in GNSS signals and RD projects. Good knowledge of MS office tools Good knowledge of the DOORS requirement management tool Experience in procurement of industrial activities. Soft skills Fluent in the English language oral and written Fluent in the French language, oral is desirable Autonomy in writing technical notes, specifications and reports in English Good inter personal skills and team spirit Previous working experience in a multinational environment Organization, good practical sense, being able to work effectively in a team and be able to autonomously take decision in his field of responsibility Availability and willingness to travel for missions inside or outside Europe. System and Concurrent Design Facility Engineer 1811005 Job Description We are looking for a System and Concurrent Design Facility CDF Engineer for our client ESTEC. You will be supporting Life Cycle Assessment tasks and the organisation and execution of concurrent engineering studies in cooperation with technical specialists, project teams and industry. Your tasks will include Support coordination of Ecodesign activities and technology development. Promote the use of the CDF to support ESA programmes, industry and external customers. Organise and participate in the training of the CDF users.
