Toy giant Hasbro is being sued by a man who claims to have created the iconic action figure, and who wants the copyright returned to him. In a suit filed Tuesday, Stanley A. Weston claimed that in 1963 he created the idea for male action figures "wearing and carrying miniaturized versions of the uniforms, insignias, emblems and equipment of each of the different branches of the United States armed forces."

Mother sues Penn, Amazon over daughter's 2013 suicide

The mother of a University of Pennsylvania nursing student who allegedly purchased cyanide on Amazon.com and used it to take her own life is suing the Philadelphia school and online retailer. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports 20-year-old junior Arya Singh died on Feb. 8, 2013 after ingesting soluble cyanide crystals in her dorm room.
