HE Space is a successful international space company. For 30 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. We are currently looking for a EPSSG INR Consultancy Support to support our customer in Germany. EPSSG INR Consultancy Support Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climaterelated satellite data, images and products for its users. In this role you will have the following responsibilities Help to develop the INR processing functionality for the mission data processing of all EPSSG instrument missions, throughout the procurement lifecycle Acquire detailed knowledge on the EPSSG System INR architecture Ensure that the INR processing functionality, including INR testing functionality, is consistent with the EPSSG System architecture Establish and implement a model of the EPSSG INR System architecture Develop, maintain, and procure INR related test tools and software Ensure a proper knowledge transfer of all INR aspects from industry is properly implemented Define, develop and maintain INR related processing functionality requirements and specifications Prepare documents to support tender actions in the area of INR data processing, and, potentially, evaluate responses to them Support studies and Instrument Functional Chain Team IFCT activities in the area of INR and geometrical processing Monitor and support INR aspects during the GS development Support system engineering activities related to INR Support interactions related to INR with the Space Segment. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in aerospace engineering, physics, remote sensing or equivalent Several years experience in system design, specifications and implementation of INR processors andor simulators andor mathematical models for both imager and sounder instruments Working knowledge and experience with image Navigation and Registration INR methodologies and techniques specification, development, and testing of INR processor software for threeaxis stabilised platforms integration, Verification and Validation of INR processing subsystems for satellite meteorological or remote sensing data proficiency in a highlevel programming language e.g. CC suitable for the implementation of prototype and operational INR processor software characterisation and modelling of space segment elements related to INR e.g. scan mirror and line of sight models experience with threeaxis stabilised is considered a clear advantage familiarity with mission data processing of satelliteborne instruments in particular in relation to INR, geo location, and geometrical processing Ability to perform under high workloads, high degree of autonomy and good analytical skills coupled with excellent communication skills Fluency in English is mandatory, knowledge of another European language is an advantage. RCom to sell 80% of Globalcom for INR 60 bln - report

(Telecompaper) Indian operator Reliance Communications (RCom) will sell an 80 percent stake in its international subsidiary Reliance Globalcom to a consortium led by Bahrain's Batelco for around INR 60 billion, reports The Times of India citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter. RCom confirmed last month it was in talks with Batelco on a possible deal. According to the report, RCom would retain a 20 percent share in the company for the first year, after which it would have the option to sell that as well. The paper's sources said this was to ensure continuity at the network operations centre in Navi Mumbai. Reliance Group officials declined comment. The deal with Batelco and a consortium of private equity groups is expected to be in place by the end of May.

RCom posts net profit of INR 1.1 bln in Q3

(Telecompaper) Indian operator Reliance Communications reported revenues of INR 53 billion for its fiscal third quarter ended 31 December, up 5 percent year-over-year. Wireless revenues grew 4.7 percent, and Global Enterprise (GEBU) revenues were up 4.4 percent to INR 24.5 billion. Net profit stood at INR 1.1 billion for the quarter. RCom's EBITDA rose 2.4 percent to INR 16.5 billion, while the EBITDA margin slightly fell from 31.9 percent to 31.2 percent. The company had 6.1 million active 3G customers and 27.6 million data customers at the end of the period. Mobile minutes went up 3.1 percent to reach 103 billion. Revenue per minute (RPM) stood at INR 0.44 during the reporting quarter.

Indian govt demands INR 230 bln for excess spectrum holdings

(Telecompaper) The Indian government is demanding over INR 230 billion from mobile operators for excess spectrum holdings, the Times of India writes. BSNL is asked to pay around INR 69.12 billion, Bharti Airtel is required to pay INR 52.01 billion, Vodafone has been sent a notice for INR 35.99 billion, MTN for INR 32.05 billion, Idea Cellular for INR 21.13 billion, Aircel for INR 13.65 billion, Loop Mobile is asked to pay INR 6.06 billion, and Reliance Communications is required to pay INR 1.73 billion. In November, the government decided that operators are required to pay for spectrum holdings over 6.2 MHz from July 2008 to 1 January 2013. After that, for spectrum above 4.4 MHz they would have to pay for the remaining period of their licences based on the prices achieved in the auction held last November.
