Canadian Press: More than 20 groups are calling for a public inquiry into the safety of oilsands extraction techniques that use steam. The organizations made their demand to the Alberta Energy Regulator on Tuesday as bitumen continues to ooze out of the ground at a project owned by Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. (TSX:CNQ). BBC: Japan's nuclear watchdog has said the crippled Fukushima nuclear plant is facing a new "emergency" caused by a build-up of radioactive groundwater.
