Rogers sees drop in customer info requests from police, security agencies

Rogers Communications says it saw a sharp drop in the number of requests for customer information from government and police agencies last year - a result of swelling public concern and a landmark court ruling on telecommunications privacy. In a report released today, Rogers says it received fewer than 114,000 such requests for subscriber information in 2014, down from almost 175,000 the previous year.

Guardian: Garden centres are being urged to withdraw products which contain a type of pesticide linked to bee declines. In its latest product guide, Ethical Consumer magazine said that nine of the UKs leading garden centres including B&Q and Homebase were selling Provado Ultimate Bug Killer which contains a neonicotinoid chemical known as thiacloprid. Honda to drop Crosstour, move Accord hybrid output to Japan

Honda said today that it will stop producing the slow-selling Accord derivative after the 2015 model year, as part of a broader move aimed at boosting truck-production capacity. The end of Crosstour production will enable Honda's East Liberty, Ohio, plant to focus on building the CR-V and Acura RDX models, both of which are enjoying brisk sales.
