According to IPC's World PCB Production Report for Year 2012, world market for PCBs reached nearly $60 billion in 2012, with 1.7% real growth over 2011. Report shows Asia with 90% of world PCB production. China’s share of world production is now 42.8% and Japan is now distant second with 16%. South Korea had a great year in 2012, surpassing Taiwan and moving into third place, while United States held onto fifth place rank with just under 5% share. North American PCB Sales and Orders Trending Upward

July 2013 findings of IPC's North American PCB Statistical Program show sales and order growth continuing to trend upward. Total North American PCB shipments decreased 1.5% from July 2012 and bookings increased 10.2% percent year over year, while year to date shipments were down 4.2% and bookings were up 0.1%. Compared to previous month, PCB shipments and bookings were down respectively 13.7% and 3.2%. Bookings exceeded shipments in July, and PCB book-to-bill ratio strengthened to 1.06.
