Placement/epoxy system enables mounting on any existing PCB, and socket operates at bandwidths up to 8 GHz with less than 1 dB insertion loss. Connecting all pins with 8 GHz bandwidth on all connections, socket is constructed with elastomer contactor and dissipates up to several watts without extra heat sinking (up to 100 W with custom heat sink). According to April findings from IPC's monthly North American PCB Statistical Program, Total North American PCB shipments were down 7.0% from April 2012, but bookings increased 7.2% year over year. Respective year to date declines for PCB industry shipments and bookings were 5.1% and 2.3%. Compared to previous month, PCB shipments decreased 9.9%, and bookings declined 14.3%.
