Volvo will launch online car sales in marketing shift

Volvo Cars said it will start selling vehicles online as it rolls out new models to compete with German luxury rivals such as BMW. The Swedish carmaker, controlled by China's Geely, will gradually introduce web sales and spend more on digital advertising, the company said as it outlined changes to its global marketing strategy today.

Low gas prices increase car sales

Nationwide, gas prices have been on a free-fall, resting now at their lowest levels in four years and down 25 percent from last year. According to popular fuel price website Gasbuddy.com, at last check, the lowest gasoline in Beaumont was at Walmart's Murphy USA gasoline station for $2.27 In the last month, passenger car sales have gone up 4.5 percent compared to last year, according to automotive sales information.
