As Product Assurance Manager, the PAE is responsible that the quality process in a project, with regard to design, control, methodologies and techniques, results in the agreed quality level of the Client and of the Customer. The PAE acts as an independent body. It involves technical functions where the quality management of the production processes analyze, monitoring, controlling, etc. is the key focus point. The functions can vary greatly from assisting in quality checks, till contributing to the whole quality policy and process management Monitoring of all quality aspects necessary to achieve the quality level as determined by the company and the Customer. By proactively monitoring and inspecting, the PAE will detect and resolve quality issues. The PAE manages project related matters as Project specific Product Assurance plan Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety RAMS requirements Parts, material and process requirements EEE component requirements and as such is also the focal point within a project for all quality related issues The PAE is responsible for Configuration Management of the product The PAE maintains NonConformances and follows up on them The PAE is responsible for preparing and managing RFWs, RFDs, RFAs and PADs The PAE has a proactive role in realizing an optimal relationship with the Customers Product Assurance Managers as chairman of the Parts Material Control Boards, NRBs, MIPs MRR, IRR, TRR, TRB, etc.. The PAE has the responsibility to use his veto when quality is at stake. Main Tasks Manage Product Assurance requirements in design, development, test and operations Perform RAMS analyses Follow up NCRs, RFWs, RFAs, RFDs and PADs corrective and preventive actions Identify and help solve problems that pose a risk for product quality and safety Participate in project meetings and audits The PAE has an active role in validating hardware suppliers of flight parts or flight hardwarerelated services. In order to do so the PAE will, independently, perform audits The PAE provides input for tenders in the area of the quality organization and quality processes. The PAE provides the Statements or Compliances SoC that relate to quality The PAE is responsible for organizing, managing, and closing MIPs MRR, IRR, TRR, TRB, etc. and KIPs critical process inspections The PAE is responsible for capturing and managing the Configuration Items through a CIDL. The PAE carries out the task as Configuration Manager at product level The PAE provides input to the Project Lead andor reports on a monthly basis the status of quality aspects as part of the Project specific Progress Report The PAE is member of the Configuration Control Board and contributes to the comparison between Asdesigned and Asbuilt The PAE is responsible for all Product Assurance documents and End Item Data Packages after CDR until Delivery The PAE is responsible for the overall designverification of the product through a VCD. Requirements The knowledge is in content and level to be equivalent to HBO BSc, supplemented with functionspecific courses andor training with an average study load to 2 years. Keeping track of trends in the field is needed. Knowledge of European Cooperation for Space Standardization ECSS. General knowledge of hardware on component level for sattelites. Good communication skills in English. Strong interpersonal skills are needed, together with a high degree of organizational and communication abilities, and comfortable with working in a diverse and multinational team environment. The Software Product Assurance SW PA Section provides functional support to ESA projects and is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of SW PA expertise and standards. We are looking for a highly experienced and talented Senior Product Assurance Engineer. Within this role, you will be responsible for supporting key projects from a product assurance perspective from design, and development to flight stage! The types of products you will be working with are complex high reliability components, and sub systems for the space industry, so we are looking for someone with a relevant background within this field. Responsibilities Provide support to the bid team PA Plans and estimates and lead the production of the Product Assurance section of the Statement of Compliance. Ensure Customer requirements are within the scope of Honeywell QMS and generate approval documentation where waiversdeviations are identified or requested. Produce the Project Product Assurance Plan detailing activities and deliverables. Manage all Product Assurance deliverables in line with the Project PA Plan Management of all project nonconformances in accordance with the QMS and customer requirements. Communication and liaison with the customer to progress major nonconformances, including acting as chair for NRBMRB meetings. Liaison and communication with the project team on all activities associated with the project product assurance programme. Review of Honeywell project and customer documentation to evaluate compliance with the project product assurance requirements. Represent Honeywell Product Assurance on all customer project meetings. Undertake project auditing activities in line with the Project Product Assurance Plan. Responsible for allocated Product Assurance tasks within multiple projects. Product design ensure adequate validation to check new products are robust and capable. Be involved with design reviews, production phase and test campaign. Supply chain audit and review suppliers to check necessary controls are in place to prove product integrity within suitable agreed standards for space development and production. This may include external supplier audits. Management of Supplier caused issues within the Value Stream Manufacturing review production processes operate effectively and proactively promote process improvements. Drive built in quality BIQ, continuous improvement and the Honeywell Operating System HOS from a Quality perspective. By use of Core Quality Tools Techniques, drive corrective actions through to solve root cause issues, putting controls in place to maintain improvements and prevent any reoccurrence. In addition to the normal PA duties you may be asked to support other activities for the Quality function, such as QMS transition and maintenance. Supplier audits and supplier information maintenance via One Source and NetInspect. SAP activities setting up materials, quality clauses SPOCs, inspection characteristics, etc. CARs Corrective and Preventive Action vie eCATS. Cause Chain Analysis with the use of CAMP Cause Analysis Mistake Proofing methodology. Skills HND in mechanicalelectrical engineering OR equivalent industry experience Extensive, and proven experience within the Space industry within quality AND product assurance Strong communication skills Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes used in the electronic or microwave industries You should be a good problem solver, and able to think outside the box Proven track record of managing products from end to end A 1st Degree in an engineering field is highly advantageous Knowledge of SAP would be a distinct advantage Experience of reading and understanding engineer drawings Six Sigma GreenBlack belt is desired but not essential
