Satellite Platform Operations Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the Meteosat Second Generation Spacecraft Operations Team your tasks in the area of SC platform routine operations and operations preparation will typically include Performance evaluation and trend analysis to monitor the inflight behaviour of the spacecraft, including support to yearly and specific operations reviews e.g. eclipses, reconditioning, manoeuvres, decontamination, etc Support to the satellite monitoring and control facility maintenance team Analysis and investigation of operational events and anomalies particularly relating to the operations of the MSG Spacecraft and associated ground segment elements Preparation presentation of Flight Ops Team training material wrt SC Operations Participation to the activities related to the MSG Routine Operations Support provided by the MSG satellites manufacturer Support the Meteosat Third Generation operations preparations activities, mainly at Space Segment level but including also Ground Segment aspects Participation to the definition and execution of the Operational System Validation activities such as SVTs, rehearsals and the necessary training activities for the various operations personnel prior to system commissioning Contribute to the definition of MTG commissioning activities Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University Degree in a relevant discipline Several years of professional experience of spacecraft operations Routine spacecraft operations in general Operations preparation of a satellite project Operations andor design of Thermal Control Subsystem Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. Satellite Payload Operations Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climaterelated satellite data, images and products for its users.
