General tasks to be performed The objective is to provide Informatics support to TECOS DTEC ESTEC Support Office. The support covers the following main tasks Analysis, design, implementation and testing of Web applications mainly administrative oriented and used to support the DTEC directorate management decisional process and office processes. Design and implementation of interfaces between the above mentioned databases and other Corporate tools. First line of support to the user commutity in their daytoday usage of the applicationsdatabases, in particular regarding data collection,production of adhoc reports, etc. Specific tasks to be performedThe work covers support to the development and maintenance of IT applications in the field of Management Support Systems MIS, as well as support to the utilization and operations of DTEC office productivity tools and related infrastructure. As such it covers Definition, design, development and maintenance of TEC specific MIS tools mainly local or shared databases, including production and maintenance of associated documentation. System Analysis of the MIS applications used in DTEC i.e. both TEC specific and ESA corporate applications to improve the overall system efficiency. Identification of requirement for interfacing with ESA Corporate applications SAP BI datawarehouse and design and implementation of related interfaces with TEC internal applications, in coordination with related design authorities in ESA. Liaison with user community within and outside DTEC and provision of user support. User support to TEC office automation infrastructure User support to office productivity tools such as Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, MSProject, Adobe Acrobat, including advanced usage thereof macros, mail merge, queries, report etc., and in interfacing exchanging data between these different systems. User support w.r.t related communication problems. Operational support for generation of relevant data files, databases, reports, prints etc. in relation to day to day operations. User support in internet access, in structuring establishing web sites, in creating web site databases. To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background experience is requiredMasters Degree or equivalent in Information Technology Strong skills on Oracle databases SQL, PLSQL, etc. and related database applications design and development are essential. Experience on Oracle Application Express is preferred A good experience in developing web applications using standard application frameworks and related web technologies. Knowledge of Microsoft Office package, in particular MSExcel. A very good knowledge of spoken and written English language is essential. Excellent communication skills written, interpersonal, negotiation, etc. are crucial. Ability to train and explain issues to users over the telephone and email, and to maintain clear communication with the IT manager on all tasks and projects. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. High sene of rigour, proactive attitude to solve problems and service orientation.
