Allegiant adding Colorado Springs-Phoenix flights

Low cost carrier Allegiant Air announced Tuesday that it will add non-stop flights from Colorado Springs to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport starting May 15. The Gazette reports that airport officials hope the new Phoenix flights and Alaska Airlines' new service to Seattle will help stop a steep decline in passengers over the past five years.
