Amazon.com will save around $225,000 a year for starters by extracting waste energy from a data center to help heat its new high-rise campus, according to City Light. While that's not a lot of money for a company worth more than $152 billion, it's further evidence of the thrift that CEO Jeff Bezos encouraged in the early days of the company.
