South Side-based teen clothing retailer American Eagle Outfitters Inc. said it decided in November to stop using a controversial scheduling practice that has drawn the attention of attorneys general in several states. Earlier this week, New York Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman and officials from attorneys general offices from seven other states and Washington, D.C., sent letters to retailers such as American Eagle, Aeropostale, Payless, Forever 21 and Justice Just for Girls about the use of "on-call shifts."
