We are currently looking for a Archive and Data Services Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Archive and Data Services Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climaterelated satellite data, images and products for its users. In this role you will have the following responsibilities Support the preparation of meteorological product archive and data services Review archive system requirements and design Translate user requirements into detailed data access system requirements Support the definition of end user data services and data flows within the ground segment Validation, verification and commissioning of data access system archive and user interfaces Participate in meetings and liaise with the data format advisory group. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in computer science or engineering Several years of professional experience in meteorological satellite product systems Experience in earth observation user and system requirements capture, definition and validation Knowledge of earth observation data formats NetCDF, HDF5, JPEG2000, BUFR Ability to work independently, good analytical and good communication skills Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French would be an asset.
