The Position The primary areas of responsibility for this service are the Data Handling Subsystem with focus on PUS services and Onboard Control procedures maintenance, operational support to instruments and spacecraft performance analysis, but the service provider may be requested to assume the responsibility and perform activities for additional subsystems or systems within the scope of general SOE services, including test, validation and operation of the Mission Control System, Mission Planning System and Simulator. ResponsibilitiesDuties The general activities to be supported by this service are Study of Project specific Characteristics and Ground Segment Documentation Participation in the Analysis and Design of Satellite Operations Generation and validation of Flight Control Procedures Mission Management and Mission Planning Support Service Support for Ground Segment Systems evolution and testing e.g. MCS, SIM and MPS Participation in the team Training Program Routine Payload Platform Operations Participation in all Mission Critical Operations General Flight Control Support Service Spacecraft Performance Analysis Participation in the oncall service QualificationsExperience University degree or equivalent education in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering. Essential Skills Spacecraft Payload or Platform subsystem knowledge DHSOBSMAOCSPowerThermal Experience in activities applicable to spacecraft operations, including anomaly investigation and resolution Fluency in English, both speech and writing Experience of coordination with other service providers in operations Familiarity with operational simulators Familiarity with satellite control systems, in particular SCOS2000 Ability to work independently Experience with the generation of Flight Control Procedures and their validation Desirable Skills Familiarity with the ESOC environment Some experience dealing with external interfaces, e.g. Project, Industry, PDGS, etc. Familiarity with MOIS.
