CWA rallies New York mayors, attack ads in union fight with Verizon

The Communications Workers of America have enlisted the help of various elected officials in New York State as its union contract negotiations continue with Verizon. The CWA says the mayors of Albany, Syracuse, Kingston, Rome and Utica, as well as the town supervisor of Brookhaven, have all echoed its claims that Verizon is refusing to build out its FiOS broadband and TV services in certain lower-income communities.
