Chiquita to refund state, local incentives

Chiquita is scheduled to close on its acquisition of Ireland-based Fyffes plc and a move of its headquarters to Dublin by year end. Local and state governments have paid Chiquita Brands International Inc. about $2.6 million in incentive grants since the company agreed to move its headquarters to Charlotte four years ago.
