PRI: In Palau, youre never far from the ocean. It laps at the countrys 700 or so small islands, and it comes up quickly in conversation. The people here are bonded with the sea. It sustains them. They often learn to swim before they learn to walk. But as important as its always been, lately the sea has been getting a little too close for some Palauans, even the countrys president, Tommy Remengesau, Jr. Lately, during some full moon high tides, the president says its been flooding his back yard....
