JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities Duties Tasks Provision of consultancy services to support the operations, the engineering and the science to be undertaken as part of the Copernicus Sentinel3 routine operations. The operational, technical and scientific activities will be conducted under the responsibility of the EUMETSAT Copernicus Sentinel 3 Operations Team within the EUMETSAT Operations and User Support Department with the support of the EUMETSAT Technical and Scientific Support Department. The Communication Engineer shall support the operations and maintenance of the network infrastructure and services of the Copernicus Sentinel3 Ground Segment. The Communication Engineer shall carry out the handling and the troubleshooting of the network systems and services anomaly. The CE shall be in charge of the operating, administrating and maintaining thirdparty provided network services. He shall also monitor and report the performance of the network infrastructure and systems, including thirdparty provided network services, and the quality of the services delivered to the users Qualifications Telecom or Information Systems Engineering Required knowledge Networking technologies, mainly Cisco Network equipment installation, testing, administration operation. Network fault detection, troubleshooting, fixing Network equipment operating systems Fluent communication in English Desirable Knowledge Service management with external suppliers and providers of network product Experience Minimun 5 years experience Applicants should also be able to work effectively, both in a team setting and autonomously.
