Are you inspired by the idea of supporting the evolution of a data services portfolio, disseminating data to a global network of users? If so then take advantage of this attractive opportunity at Europes Meteorological Satellite Agency, EUMETSAT, to support and develop data services across all of our member states, and also to take a leading role in the implementation of the roadmap activities to upgrade the existing IT infrastructure. You should have some hands on experience in evolving a system change e.g. major relocation, migration of services ideally on a highavailability system. This is a challenging and rewarding role offering plenty of personal and professional progression opportunities. You will be at the forefront of EUMETSATs data services development, responsible for shaping the data services portfolio. You should have skillsexperience in each of the following areas Solid experience in maintaining large scale systems in support to highavailability 247 applications, preferably in the domain of data access Proven experience in the implementation of local andor distributed system architecture in support to user data access Proven experience of being directly involved in the evolution of systems and services in a highlyavailable 247 environment Proven experience in managing the endtoend evolution cycle of legacy systems, including user requirements assessment, system architecture definition and development, project management involving frequent interactions with users, experience in managing industrial support contracts Demonstrable experience in a usercustomer facing environment Good communication and presentation skills, both oral and written Excellent teamworking skills, proactive attitude and the ability to work autonomously with a minimum of supervision under high workloads are mandatory. In addition, experience in any of the following domains would be considered advantageous Virtualisation Cloud computing Big data management Serviceoriented system engineering Web services Data dissemination All applicants must be EUMETSAT member state nationals with a good working knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written, a knowledge of French would be considered advantageous.
