Position Reference 108 You will have the opportunity to provide support in covering all aspects from coordinating daily data center operation, documentation of existing infrastructures in a data center infrastructure management tool DCIM as well as review and enforce data center best practices and standards. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Review, maintain uptodate or define when not in place of all relevant data center management standards, processes and procedures. Collect the necessary data personally or with support of local teams in order to populate the tool Data Centre Infrastructure Management DCIM with all relevant information active and passive equipment and supporting mechanical and electrical infrastructures following a transfer into operations. Oversee and coordinate the day to day operation of the data center Act as main point of contact for all data centre related activities Ensure all installations are done in line with applicable standards procedure installation guides, operations management, incident management, change management, configuration management Provide on request smart hands problem solving support on request e.g. server reboots, visual inspections Review, approve and accept installations with reference to applicable standards including applicable power safety regulations Monitor, coordinate and followup the data centre routine activitiesinstallations Coordinate data centre changes and incidents with data center end users, stakeholders or 3rd party industrial teams e.g. Corporate, EOP, MOIIT, facility management, external service providers i.e. Telecoms, IT support providers, etc. Perform data center risk analysis and manage escalations Support data center audits internal external Distribute and communicate to all relevant teams information to optimize efficiency and minimize risks in data centre activities Ensure that everything in the data centre is in line with approved procedures and raise corrective actions when needed Monitor the progress of data center related actions and ensure timely closure Schedule and coordinate data centre activities in order to improve overall efficiency and reduce risks Inform the Technical Officer when issues arise e.g. capacity thresholds are exceeded etc. Make post implementation reviews and lessonslearnt analysis Coordinate worksemergency interventions new installations, changes, incident resolutions with 3rd parties in compliance with the applicable site specific risk management access procedures Actively participate in data center audits in line with the relevant site specific QMS procedure Review all change request submitted and report to the local data center governance boards for major changes Closely interact with the local facility management teams for all power and cooling aspects Plan and schedule all data center related maintenance activies in close cooperation with any local team Prepare a yearly maintenance plan for presentation and approval via the local DC governance board When needed act as interface for all 3rd party telecommunication carriers for local installation and maintenance works in the data center Interface, report and work hand in hand with the local data center governance board. The governance board is chair by the IT department and contains stakeholder from the key onsite data center stakeholders Manage functional and hierarchical escalation of incidents and requests to the appropriate teams and interfaces Coordinate and trigger disposal of installed device no longer in use in order to recover rack space and safe utility costs for power cooling Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You hold a technical qualification or documented operational experience in the field of IT Systems, Network Engineering andor data center operation. You have experience in the management, operation and maintenance of data center IT systems. You have experience and knowledge in the full range of facility management mechanical electrical equipment in a modern critical data center environment Cooling systems, power distribution. You have experience with service delivery in the areas of Data Centers Infrastructure Management and Operation Passive IT Infrastructures data center copper and fiber optic cabling installation and certificationsquality management You have an understanding Knowledge about data center IT installations virtualization, servers, blade server, storage and networking infrastructure. You have a good knowledge about data center security access management and clean room environments would be an asset related standards. You have a professional and strategic approach to management of DC works and projects. You possess analytical skills to understand client requirements and produce desired results. You are able to work under pressure in operation environments. You are customer focused and respectful to promote trust based healthy working relationship. You are able to work in a diverse multinational team working. You have sound knowledge of all aspects of health safety. You have strong technical skills.
