Location ESRIN, Frascati, Italy Description Data Engineer in the Infrastructure Engineering Section, Data Applications Division, Science, Applications Climate Department, Directorate of Earth Observation Programmes. Duties Managing the development of data analytics platforms to support scientific, institutional, and commercial exploitation of EO data identifying, assessing and implementing innovative ideas for shared platform services and tools, leveraging leadingedge ICT innovation that facilitates EO exploitation by EOdata scientists, application developers and valueadders advancing use of artificial intelligence and machine learning for information generation and service access liaising with related nonESA activities by national, European and international stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach engaging with complementary nonspace market stakeholders GIS, IT to accelerate EO takeup on a wide basis contributing to ESA communication efforts promoting EO platforms services, mission achievements and EO platforms collaborative environmental benefits for society supervising and supporting the work of Young Graduate Trainees and Research Fellows. Technical competencies Experience in the management and monitoring of research and development activities Indepth Experience with leadingedge Earth Observation data analytics technologies Knowledge of international scientific community Behavioural competencies Communication Problem Solving Teamwork Education Applicants should have a Masters degree in an engineering discipline, preferably computer science, and at least two years experience in data analyticsrelated development andor research. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset. The Agency may require applicants to undergo selection tests.
