Data I/O Q3 net income, earnings jump; stock rises

Third-quarter net income and sales both increased dramatically at Seattle-based programming firm Data I/O Corp., and its shares rose in early Friday trading. Data I/O reported third-quarter net income rose to $646,000, or 8 cents per share, from $146,000 or 2 cents per share, a year earlier.
