HE Space is a successful international space company. For over 30 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. We are currently looking for a Data Processing Engineer for Sentinel3 to support our customer in Germany. Data Processing Engineer for Sentinel3 Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European organization providing weather and climaterelated satellite data, images and products for its users.You will be working onsite as part of the LEO Data Processing Team. You will have the following responsibilities Verification, validation and commissioning activities for the payload data processing chains Support the transition into routine operations Data processing algorithm, quality control, ground segment, calibration and product validation Support the development procurements of data processing facilities Ground segment acceptance, integration, verification and validation Science data and product development, verification and validation strategy Support the Sentinel3 overall ground segment integration, acceptance testing, commissioning and subsequent operations. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent Extensive professional experience in development, implementation, and operation of Earth Observation products processing systems Algorithm specificationdevelopment for scientific, meteorological and remote sensing missions Knowledge of established remote sensing instrument processing systems, e.g. ERS RA, ENVISAT RA2, Cryosat SIRAL, Jason12 data processing system procurement activities Interfacing with scientific organisations and user communities Fluency in English is mandatory another European language is an advantage. This job is located in Darmstadt.We are looking for candidates who are available from May 2015 or as soon as possible thereafter.
