We are currently looking for a Data Processing Systems and Applications Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Data Processing Systems and Applications Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climaterelated satellite data, images and products for its users. In this role you will have the following responsibilities Support to the definition of data processing concepts and their implications on Ground Segment interfaces and architecture Maintenance of the functional and architectural model of Ground Segment data processing elements Support to the procurement of Ground Segment data processing elements Support to anomaly investigation, maintenance and evolutions. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in a relevant field Engineering of Ground Segment data processing for Earth Observation missions Specification, design, development andor procurement of at least two of the following Ground Segment elements o Processing infrastructure for Level 1 and Level 2 data processing o Level 1 instrument data processors o Frontend and L0 processing Knowledge of the following would be an asset o Requirements management in DOORS o System architectural modelling and design tools o ECSS and CCSDS standards o Calibration Validation activities for Earth Observation products o Specification, development andor procurement of instrument test data and processor prototypes for Earth Observation missions. Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. This job is located in Darmstadt. We are looking for candidates who are available as soon as possible.
