Data Scientist Machine Learning Engineer 202028 Job Description We are looking for a Data Scientist Machine Learning Engineer to join the Software Engineering Team in our offices in Darmstadt, Germany. Solenix is an independent and international company providing highquality software engineering, consultancy services and software products in the space market. Among our customers are space agencies like ESA and EUMETSAT. Our Software Engineering Team is specialised in the development and maintenance of web and mobile solutions and datadriven systems, including dashboards and visualisation tools, data analytics, event monitoring and alarming platforms. Our team is a group of motivated, dynamic and creative people who enjoy highquality work, as well as a relaxed and flexible atmosphere. You will be involved in all phases of the project lifecycle, from conception to implementation and final delivery, with a focus on Data Science aspects. This role has a lot of potential for career development depending on your skills and interests, for example, growing involvement in other company activities, such as supporting our business development activities with your technical expertise or contributing to the definition and evolution of our software products. Your main tasks will be related to Preparation of structured and unstructured data Feature selection, extraction and transformation and data analysis Use case analysis and prototyping Design and implementation of models and algorithms in the field of data analytics, including visualisation and reporting of results Integration and maintenance of developed solutions Required Skills and Experience University degree in a related field computer science, mathematics, physics or related Solid understanding of statistics, probability and Machine Learning Good knowledge of an objectoriented programming language, preferably Python or Java Experience with machine learning librariesframeworks and methods Experience in databases SQLNoSQL and in related technologies such as Spark and Hadoop Experience with data visualisation solutions such as D3.js, Plotly, etc. Strong analytical skills, curiosity and pragmatism Initiative and able to work independently and prioritise work appropriately Able to work in a collaborative and team environment Desirable Skills and Experience Experience with containerisation technologies Experience working in a continuous development continuous integration environment Work Location Darmstadt, Germany Dates Application Deadline 31 December 2020 Start of Work January 2020 or ASAP Important Notes Before applying to this position, please read the page Notes to Applicants on the Solenix website under Career.
