We are currently looking for a Data Services Systems Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Data Services Systems Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As member of the Data Services team, which provides system architecture engineering support of the EUMETCast service, you will have the following responsibilities Implementation and testing of the multicast servers, transport and receivers Generation and analysis of user requirements Specifying, designing and developing system and software enhancements Generating various technical and control documentation Verification and maintenance procedures Participating in technical meetings and reviews Integration, verification and validation testing of externally developed systems User training, second line support and maintenance services. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University Degree in Engineering or equivalent Fluency in English is mandatory another European language an advantage System Engineering ExperienceSkills Networkbased serverclient data distribution applications Standard file transfer protocols FTP, FTPS, SFTP, HTTPS HighAvailability systems Requirements engineering Supporting end users Software development andor maintenance using an object oriented approach Formal life cycle Configuration management and anomaly reportingtracking tools.
