Den Hollander takes over as head of Dutch data protection agency

(Telecompaper) Bas den Hollander has taken over as interim head of the Dutch data protection regulator AP. He will lead the organisation in the implementation of the new EU privacy regulation which comes into effect next May. The AP will receive new tasks under the EU rules, including greater coordination with other European regulators and handling consumer complaints. The Dutch regulator has already asked for additional budgetary support.
