Dollar's fall will help Qantas, Moody's says

2015-03-15 06:04:58| Airlines - Topix.net

The fall in the Australian dollar means foreign airlines have an added incentive to keep their airfares steady rather than lowering them, which should benefit Qantas Airways, Moody's says. The Australian dollar has plunged by 17.5 per cent against the US dollar since September 1, which means a ticket that was priced at $1000 last year translates now to $US770, rather than $US933.
