As compared to peers and oil pricing, EOG's stock has remained quite resilient this year, as the company has been able to cut costs aggressively, allowing it to trump earnings estimates. EOG's ROIC is the best among peers as it is able to generate a 40% after tax rate of return from its cornerstone assets even in a $50 oil environment.
