Responding to requests and addressing Supreme Court decisions, EPA and U.S. Army are finalizing Clean Water Rule to protect streams and wetlands. Rule will provide certainty about which waters are important to protect in order to preserve recreational lakes and rivers which supply Americans with drinking water, help farms thrive, and protect against effects of climate change. Protecting clean water also aids economy by ensuring sustained manufacturing, energy production, and tourism.
