EPA’s Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program collects annual GHG information from over 8,000 facilities in largest emitting industries. According to data, emissions from power plants have decreased 10% in the 2 years since reporting began, due to switch from coal to natural gas for electricity and slight decrease in electricity production.
