Embedded Software Engineer 826 Reports to Flight Software Team Manager Key Purpose of Job Development of Embedded Software for Satellite Systems Key Tasks A successful candidate will be involved with Development of software to agreed specification and direction Lowlevel design work. Configuration and Testing of Software General Problem solving Working as part of team to deliver final product Peer reviews of software and design work PERSON SPECIFICATION Qualifications A good degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computing or similar subject Experience Ability to work in a team Knowledge Skills Essential Embedded C Expertise Working in a bare metal and RTOS environment Assistance with hardware debugging Flexible and able to work under pressure. Good written and verbal communication skills. Experience of lowlevel driver development. Understanding of Hardware aspects. FPGA interfacing etc Use of Version Control and BugTask tracking systems Desirable M3 ARM, Smart Fusion and other embedded Micro controllers and processors Flash Memory technologies. Development of Test Tools in Visual Studio Understanding of implementation aspects of IP links. CAN Bus. VxWorks, POSIX based operating system systems Location The role is based in Guildford
