Daseke's second acquisition in a little more than a month will make it the largest operator of its own flatbed equipment for the oil industry With oil prices at six-year lows, the downturn in energy markets is hitting trucking companies that carry petroleum products and production equipment. The energy bust has touched off a wave of consolidation among the trucking companies that haul equipment around the oil patch, where business is shrinking along with the tumbling price of crude.
