With Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) Quick-Change™ options, extruder downtime can be minimized. Quick Collet Screw Pusher cuts setup time for screw pulling by use of spring-mounted locking nut and sliding collet to fasten nut onto threaded screw-pushing rod. Rotary Hopper can be pivoted away from feed throat, cutting cleanout time. By having pre-heated head with breaker plate ready for replacement of one that has been in use, Dual-Head Arrangement reduces time needed to change dies.
