Facebook turns over 3,000 Russian-funded ads to US Congress

(Telecompaper) Facebook has turned over more than 3,000 political advertisements that appeared on its platform to congressional investigators examining Russian interference in the US election. In a statement, the social media company said it believed that as many as 10 million people saw the ads that were purchased by a Russian entity known as the Internet Research Agency and ran on its platform between 2015 and 2017.
