Frontier Airlines owner hints at mergers ahead among low-cost carriers

The wave of mergers among the nation's big "legacy" airlines may be followed by similar consolidation among low-cost carriers, the head of Frontier Airlines' parent company said Monday. Bill Franke , managing partner of private equity firm Indigo Partners and Frontier's chairman, is a veteran airline investor and once was chairman of America West.
