ABOUT US The European GNSS Agency GSA is responsible for the operations and service provision for the European Global Navigation Satellite Systems GNSS EGNOS and Galileo. The GSMC is an operational centre of the GSA. It contributes to the fulfilment of the GSA mission by ensuring that sensitive information relating to the use of Public Regulated Services PRS is suitably managed and protected and not exposed to Galileo Control Centres. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES In this context, the GSMC Operator will be responsible to Ensure Galileo system and security status monitoring, by taking action against security threats and security alerts Ensure the provision of PRS access service to the Competent PRS Authorities CPA in Member States as part of the overall Galileo PRS provision Implement Council Decision 496 Joint Action instructions, in the event of a threat to the security of the European Union or of a Member State arising from the deployment, operation or use of the European Global Navigation Satellite System Nonexhaustive list of tasks and responsibilities Supervision of the security and system status of the Galileo system using dedicated GSMC security tools Incident handling of any security alerts raised by the GSMC security tools in line with the GSMC operational procedures Operating the GSMC Ticketing System to log and trace the full incident handling process Participating to the review and refinement of the incident handling processes Contributing to the operations and maintenance of the GSMC Vulnerability Management Supporting the level 1 maintenance at basic level of the Galileo Security Facility GSF system Supporting the improvement of the GSMC Security Monitoring and PRS access operations Ensuring that authorised users are able to access and use PRS in accordance with their needs Supervising the PRS status of the Galileo system using dedicated GSMC security tools Supporting the rampingup of the GSMC PRS operations in terms of operational procedures development and GSF equipment validation for the new releases of operational equipment ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 1 Have a level of education which corresponds to completed university studies1 of at least three years attested by a diploma and appropriate professional experience2 of at least one year after obtaining the final diploma 2 Be a national of a Member State of the European Union 3 Be entitled to his or her full rights as citizen 4 Have fulfilled any obligations imposed by the applicable laws concerning military service 5 Meet the character requirements for the duties involved3 6 Have a thorough knowledge of one of the languages of the European Union4 and a satisfactory knowledge of another language of the European Union to the extent necessary for the performance of hisher duties 7 Be physically fit to perform the duties linked to the post5 APPLICATION PROCEDURE In order to consider your application valid, you are required to fill in and submit the GSA application form, which can be found on our website httpswww.gsa.europa.eugsajobsopportunities Deadline 11032019 at 1159 a.m. Prague Local Time A full job description and further information on the application procedure can be found here httpswww.gsa.europa.eusitesdefaultfilesjobsgsa2018558gsmcoperatorfgiv.pdf 1 Only study titles that have been awarded in EU Member States or that are subject to the equivalence certificates issued by the authorities in the said Member States shall be taken into consideration. 2 Only appropriate professional experience acquired after achieving the minimum qualification stated in A.1 shall be considered. Where additional periods of training and study are accompanied by periods of professional activity, only the latter shall be considered as professional experience. Compulsory military service or equivalent civilian service accomplished after achieving the minimum qualification stated in A.1. shall be taken into consideration. Internships will be taken into consideration, if they are paid. Professional activities pursued parttime shall be calculated pro rata, on the basis of the percentage of fulltime hours worked.
