Job Description The Ground Operations Team is responsible for the overall management of Galileo Ground Control Segment GCS Operations at both Galileo Control CenterDeutschland GCCD and Galileo Control CenterItaly GCCI and the execution of GCS prime operations and Galileo Mission Segment backup operations at GCCD. The scope of this work package is to fulfill the tasks of the Ground Operations engineer within the Galileo Full Operations Constellation FOC1 operations phase. This includes activities related to Ground Operations preparation, planning, executionsupport including oncall and shift duty or operations development as well as training. Some activities will require regular trips to GCCI and interface with other operations teams or DLR GfR customers. As part of the Ground Operations Team, the Ground Operations engineer contributes to the regular reporting, support milestones defined by the project and to internalexternal servicesactivities. Requirements Academic degree A degree in engineering or similar Level of English Advanced Technical knowledge Experience in ground operations preparation and execution Comfortable using Linux Self Learner Desirable knowledge Level of German Intermediate
