It employs some 40,000 employees generating revenues of approximately 14 billion per year. A vacancy for a Galileo Training IOM Manager mf has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Munich. The successful applicant will join Galileo Operations Bid. Please note that the work location will Oberpfaffenhofen. The Galileo Global Satellite Navigation System GNSS provides global positioning capability by means of civil unclassified signals for mass market and professional applications as well as classified signals for governmental applications. The Galileo System Infrastructure consists of a globally distributed ground infrastructure connected by a global data dissemination network and a constellation of MEO satellites. The European Commission EC is the owner of Galileo and the infrastructure. The European GNSS Agency GSA on behalf of the EC subcontracts the Galileo Service Operation. The Galileo Service Operator GSOp has the responsibility to operate the Galileo infrastructure, to maintain the Galileo infrastructure, to monitor and manage system security, and to accommodate system upgrades and evolutions. Airbus Defence and Space has identified the GSOp tender as a key opportunity and is producing the Best and Final Offer by mid of August. We are intending to win it and preparing a very strong team across all our entities and sites combining leadership, service driven business and technical expertise. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Planning the training, certification IOM activities and ensuring they are completed on time and to the required standard Ensuring that the IOM documentation is maintained up to date and available to all relevant personnel Ensuring that a comprehensive Training Needs Analysis is produced Defining and documenting the training concepts and approach Creating and maintaining a Training Plan and Schedule Ensuring adequate and up to date training material and manuals Ensuring that training is delivered effectively and as planned Ensuring that individual training records are maintained and that training status is regularly reported Setting up and chairing a Training Coordination Group to coordinate GSOp Training activities and resourcing Trainers, Trainees, access to sims environments Defining and documenting the GSOp Certification processes and procedures Ensuring that individual certification records are maintained and certification status is regularly reported Ensuring that suitable TMS and elearning tools are established, populated with data and effectively used Ensuring that training and certification activities are responsive to changing system evolution and operations new CONOPS requirements This role will involve frequent travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
