Glaxo, UNC launch ambitious AIDS venture

From left, UNC Chancellor Carol Folt, GlaxoSmithKline CEO Sir Andrew Witty, and NC Governor Pat McCrory took turns answering press questions in UNC's Marsico Hall Monday, May 11, 2015 after a UNC-CH/GSK announcement of a partnership to accelerate the search for an HIV cure. The new partnership will establish a dedicated HIV Cure center at UNC's Marsico Hall and also a new life sciences company Qura Theraputics to further HIV/AIDS research for a cure.
