(Telecompaper) Google's four data centres in Europe are soon to be run on 100 percent renewable energy, heise.de reports. The company currently operates three European data centres, in Finland, Belgium and in Ireland, and a fourth one is being built in Eemshaven in the Netherlands at the moment, which is supposed to be based entirely on renewable resources from the start, according to Google's infrastructure expert, Urs Hoelzle.
