LSE Space is looking for Ground Segment Operations Engineers mfd to support our services in the Galileo Control Center for our customer DLR GfR in Oberpfaffenhofen. The main tasks of the position will be Preparesupportexecute system, segment and element operation validation activities, including the definition of validation scenarios, plans, test cases and procedures, their development, validation, testing and results reporting Developreviewupdate Operations Plans and Operations Concept documents Ensuresupport databases preparation, coordination, synchronization and verification Preparation of System Compatibility Test Campaigns SCTCs, simulations and launch campaigns Assist with the planning and coordination of ground maintenance activities Participate in onconsole operations during special operations, i.e. SCTC, LEOP, Manoeuvres, Commissioning and IOT, which may require support outside of office hours Provide ground or secure operations oncall duty and contingency support Support ground operations activities from the backup control centre in Italy GCCI as required Provide support to ground segment users e.g. Shift Team, Flight Dynamics, Mission Planning,Training for preparation or execution of operational activities. Monitor performance of ground and encryption services and trigger corrective actions. Handle observations, incidents and anomalies writing, processing, support of review boards according to Key Performance Indicators KPIs. Interface with ground segment external entities for data exchange and service outage troubleshooting Support KPI data collection and reporting Provide support for the progressive automation of the Constellation Operations Provide engineering support to assess Galileo Control Segment enhancementsmodifications Maintain and develop subject matter expert SME training material and mentoring other team members Maintain Ground Operations Team products Ground and Secure Operations Procedures, Ground Plans, Workaround databases, etc. Preparesupportexecute software engineering activities script development, maintenance, user support, etc. Required qualifications and work experience A Master Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or in an equivalent discipline Expert knowledge on Ground System Experience in Ground operations, Engineering or Maintenance Knowledge of the GALILEO project Willingness taking over duty oncall to provide Ground Operations Support 247 Comfortable using LINUX Additional skills required Systemminded and a team player Very good social skills Able to work in an interdisciplinary team Selfstarter, able to work independently with little or no supervision Fluent in English, both in speech and writing Benefits A permanent employment contract.
