How have your corn planting intentions changed?

2013-05-13 22:10:36| National Hog Farmer

Last year, some farmers started planting corn in March and were finished by early May. This year, of course, continued wet conditions have stalled planting attempts and left much of the Midwest far behind in efforts to get underway. Given this scenario, how have your corn planting intentions changed? I still intend to plant my normal amount of corn and beans. I'm planning to switch to planting early maturing corn varieties. I am waiting to see if the weather shifts before changing plans. I expect to plant less corn and more beans to compensate.
