We are currently looking for a IT Operations and System Engineer for Galileo to support our customer in Germany. IT Operations and System Engineer for Galileo Key Tasks and Responsibilities In this role you will be working in the Galileo Project Office at ESAESOC. You will have the following responsibilities Support the Galileo Project Office in the Operations of the Galileo System, with focus on the ICT infrastructure Review process of the Galileo ICTrelated contracts Monitoring of the GDDN service provision SLA ICT Operational Concept for the Galileo system Production and review of the IT aspects of the applicable ICDs Support the Galileo Configuration Control Processes in IT areas Followup of IT related Anomalies ARs,NCRs and Resolution process System integration and verification activities with focus on IT Support the Galileo Project Office during the development, validation, integration and operations of the endtoend communication system GDDN, xNE and associated MC system, with focus on the Galileo Data Dissemination Network Deployment, validation and transition to operation of comms links Contribute towards the endtoend ICT solution for the Galileo System. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent qualification in informatics or computer science Several years experience in communication technologies and computer systems Technical ICT operations and engineering and ICT Service Delivery Configuration Change and Anomaly management Service Transition andor Service Design processes Excellent communication skills and the capability to manage complex tasks Fluency in English is mandatory. This job is located in Darmstadt. We are looking for candidates who are available from September 2013 or as soon as possible thereafter. Security clearance will be part of the selection process.
