Although the focus today will be on yesterday's report from Gartner of an expected sharp drop in personal computer sales - and a separate report from IDC this morning - a second question is how the company's server-chip business is doing ahead of its Q2 earnings report on July 15th. The revenue warning yesterday from server and storage component maker QLogic , which was explained by the company in vague terms, raises a question whether the server market might be weaker than previously thought.
