We are currently looking for Internet Services Software Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Internet Services Software Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the GSI Data Services Engineering Team, you will have the following responsibilities Maintenance of the data services systems Acceptance and integration of software, unit and nonregression testing System and software documentation Liaising with companies developing systems and software externally Analysing and resolving system and software anomalies Providing advice and guidance with respect to maintenance issues. Evolution of the web application services Analysing user requirements, specifying software and system requirements Designing software and systems enhancements, their integration, and testing Technical documentation Prototyping system and software evolutions Operational Support for web application services Monitoring the system performance and behaviour Providing Second Line System and Software support Preparation and production of routine reports. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University Degree in Engineering or equivalent Fluency in English is mandatory, another European language an advantage Software development and maintenance using a formal software life cycle Extensive experience in second line support for operational systems HighAvailability systems GIS standards such as WMS, WCS, WFS and GIS products for meteorology. Java Web based development SpringMVC, GWT in TomcatJetty HTML5CSS3Javascript jquery, bootstrap Oracle JDBC, SQL and PLSQL XML, XML Schema and XSLT technologies, Software Source Code control system SubVersion, building and package management ant, maven Unit testing frameworks JUnit and Eclipse.
