Italians help develop rapid Ebola test

Rome, December 10 - Global companies STMicroelectronics and Clonit, and Italy's National Institute for Infectious Diseases Lazzaro Spallanzani have developed an rapid, portable Ebola virus tester, a media statement released on Wednesday announced. According to the statement, the portable analyzer kit detects the presence of the Ebola virus "with extreme accuracy in just a few microliters of human-blood samples" within 75 minutes.
